Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 2026-04-26
This page explains how to delete your Reboko account and any personal data we hold about you, and how to remove data associated with channels you have connected (WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, TikTok). It is referenced from the Meta App Dashboard as our official Data Deletion Instructions URL.
1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account and all associated data:
- Open the Reboko mobile app or sign in at app.reboko.com.
- Go to More → Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm the prompt. You will receive an email confirmation.
2. Delete by email request
If you cannot sign in, email support@reboko.com from the address registered to your Reboko account with the subject line "Delete my account". Include the business name and any phone number / channel handle linked to the account so we can locate it.
We will action the request within 30 days and email you a confirmation when deletion is complete.
3. Disconnect Meta channels first (recommended)
Before requesting account deletion, disconnect any Meta-owned channels so Meta no longer routes new messages to Reboko:
- WhatsApp Business: in the Meta Business Suite, go to Business Settings → WhatsApp Accounts, select the connected number, and remove Reboko from the list of allowed apps.
- Instagram: in the Instagram app, go to Settings → Apps and websites and remove Reboko.
- Facebook / Messenger: in Facebook Settings → Apps and websites, remove Reboko.
You can also revoke the connection from inside Reboko under More → Channels by tapping Disconnect next to each channel.
4. What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we remove:
- Your account record (email, name, password hash, language preference, profile avatar, two-factor settings).
- Your business data (business name, location, hours, resources, menu / service catalog, knowledge-base entries, reservation rules).
- Channel connection tokens (so no further messages can be received on your behalf).
- All customer-conversation history stored on your account.
- Push-notification device tokens.
- Subscription metadata held by Reboko (your billing record at Paddle is governed by Paddle's own policy).
5. What we keep, and for how long
Some data must be retained for legal, security, or anti-fraud reasons. These records contain only the minimum needed:
- Deletion audit log: a minimal record (user ID, date of deletion, reason if provided) is kept for up to 24 months to satisfy legal and anti-fraud obligations.
- Application + security logs: retained for up to 90 days for incident investigation, then purged automatically.
- Tax / billing records: Paddle (our payment processor) retains invoices for the period required by applicable tax law in your jurisdiction.
6. Timeline
- Day 0: you submit the deletion request (in-app or email).
- Day 0 – 7: account is disabled, channel webhooks are revoked, no further data is collected.
- Day 7 – 30: conversation history, business data, and account data are purged from primary storage and replicated backups.
- Day 30: you receive a confirmation email. Only the minimal records described in section 5 remain.
7. Data covered by this page
